Ahhh can’t wait for our little pizza party tonight. Our friend’s mom is still here from Portugal and loves pizza. I guess they don’t have good pizza there. So, Spiro and I invited them over to join us for pizza. I made my dough yesterday. I used my traditional recipe and found a no knead recipe that I tried too. It’s out of a book by Jeff Hertzberg MD and Zoe Francois. It’s called Artisan Pizza and Flatbread in Five minutes a Day. I can’t wait for the whole book to come in. I’ll have to let you know how I like the recipe. There will be five of us. I made enough dough for 10 to 12 individual pizzas. What do you think? So far here’s what I’ve got for toppings.
Sliced mushrooms, sliced black olives, sliced red bell peppers, sliced onions, sautéed onions, homemade buffalo chicken tenders (no batter, not fried), garlic chicken tenders, grilled chicken sausage, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, roasted garlic, broccoli, sliced potatoes, turkey bacon, chives, (fat-free) ricotta cheese for a white pizza, six cheese Italian blend, shredded mozzarella, fresh shredded Asiago, and fresh shredded parmesan. Do you think I missed anything? lol Ohhh can’t wait. I’ll share the photos with you as soon as I put the pizza’s together. Ok, time to roll out the dough so it can poof up a little more before they get here. Dinner at 5:00. (Spiro’s out getting more gas for the grill as we speak lol).
