Hi! My name is Lisa Magoulas. Thanks so much for visiting my web site!
You see, I struggled with my weight my whole life. You name the diet, pill, fast, I guarantee, I’ve tried it.
After 2 years of intense research and interviewing 5 Doctors, I decided it was time to have gastric bypass surgery. So, in 2002, I went under the knife and promised myself I would do all that I could to never gain the weight back.
Unlike what most people think, gastric bypass is not the easy way out. I work very hard at maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle.
Unlike most people who gain the weight back, I work hard every day on my nutrition and fitness. I am proud to say that I have kept 80 pounds off all these years.
I always thought I ate fairly healthy; to me that meant maybe having a yogurt for breakfast, nothing for lunch and a salad for supper. Little did I know how I was killing my metabolism.
I decided that by going through something as severe as surgery, I had to make this weight come off and stay off for good. Through a lot of persistency and consistency, I’ve learned to enjoy life and keep the weight off.
People started asking me to help them. So, I started teaching them how to make small changes and then started achieving awesome results.
Since daily exercise was such a huge component in keeping my weight off, and because I love the variety of products, I decided to become a Beachbody coach. This allowed me to help even more people in their weight loss journey.
I wanted to learn more. I felt God gave me the calling to help spread the word and help more people live their lives to the healthiest, fullest extent.
In February 2013, I made a career change, I decided to attend the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to become a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner.
I learned over 100 dietary theories and I also learned that one person’s diet is another’s poison.
I work with individuals to see what works for them personally. Which is different than a Registered Dietitian or Nutritionist, (Love You ALL) who gives out one diet to all their patients. I work with each person individually to see how we can make changes in their nutrition and exercise.
I also work with my clients to determine what blocks them from succeeding; habits, stress, jobs, relationships or perhaps they don’t embrace spirituality. I help my clients find the right exercise program that works for them. One they will actually enjoy and stick to.
I make it fun and I am blessed that I have the opportunity to help others change their lives into healthy, happy lives.
I am madly in love with my husband and best friend, Spiro. He is my rock. He is loving, caring and he is my biggest fan. He cheers me on and gives me support like no other person I’ve ever met.
If it weren’t for him supporting my work, I wouldn’t be here right now. I would be back in some cubicle in Corporate America – miserable and feeling I lost my purpose.
We have a beautiful house and 2 crazy, lovable dogs. Hank (aka Hanksta da Gangsta my snuggle bug) and Benji (aka Benj the Basenji the spazoid).
They are both rescues and we love them to pieces.
I love my wine, martinis, yearly vacation to Cancun and spending time with good friends and a good meal.
I’m passionate about gardening and cooking. There’s nothing like cooking with fresh herbs and vegetables that I grow with my own hands.
I’ve worked in several restaurants throughout my life, have catered and I’m quite the foodie. As a matter of fact, I’m head cook at a sweet, little, family owned restaurant a few miles from my house.
I thought I’d expand my culinary experience and enrolled in some cooking courses where I earned a certification in Plant Based Cooking and a Professional Cook Certification.
I want to thank God, my Father. I truly believe He has guided me on this path to help others become fit and healthy so they can live happier lives.
